Common starting points

Estimated sheet

22" × 134.8"

Layout

1 across × 12 rows

Sheet area

20.59 sq ft

Base estimate

$36.03

Suggested layout

Rotate the artwork 90° to use less sheet length.

12 transfers

Planning estimate only. It assumes a 22-inch sheet, uniform rectangular artwork, the selected cutting gap, and rotation when it saves length. Checkout pricing can differ because of minimum billable area, live promotions, account pricing, or manual layout choices.

How the estimate works

A transparent layout calculation

The calculator divides the 22-inch roll width by the design width plus your cutting gap. That produces the number of transfers that fit across each row. It then divides the quantity by that row count to find the required number of rows and total sheet length.

The same calculation runs again after rotating the design 90 degrees. The shorter valid layout becomes the suggestion. This is especially helpful for artwork close to 11 inches wide, because two designs may fit across the roll with little wasted space.

Calculation assumptions

  • The printable roll is 22 inches wide.
  • Every copy uses the same rectangular design bounds.
  • The selected cutting gap is placed between designs, not around the outside edge.
  • Artwork can rotate 90 degrees unless its direction must stay fixed.
  • Price uses a $1.75 per-square-foot standard rate before live discounts.
  • Irregular shapes, nesting, and mixed designs require the live builder for an exact layout.

Common questions

Gang sheet planning FAQ

How many designs fit on a 22-inch DTF gang sheet?

The answer depends on each design's printed width and height, the cutting gap, whether the artwork can rotate, and the sheet length. The calculator tests both orientations and selects the one that requires less length.

How much space should I leave between DTF designs?

A quarter-inch gap is a practical starting point for hand cutting. You may use a smaller gap for automated contour cutting or a larger gap when the artwork has irregular edges. Confirm the final layout in the builder before ordering.

Does rotating a DTF design save gang-sheet space?

Often, yes. A design that is too wide to place twice across a 22-inch sheet may fit more efficiently after a 90-degree rotation. The calculator compares both orientations automatically.

Is the calculator price the final checkout price?

No. It is a planning estimate using the standard $1.75 per-square-foot rate. Minimum billable area, promotions, account pricing, exact artwork bounds, or manual layout changes can affect the checkout total.

Should I order a gang sheet or transfers by size?

A gang sheet is usually more efficient when you need many transfers or want to mix several designs. Transfers by size are simpler for one design, smaller quantities, or orders where every transfer must have the same finished dimension.
