The application
Six steps, start to finish.
2–3 seconds
Pre-press the garment
Lay the garment flat and give it a quick 2–3 second press to remove moisture and flatten the surface before positioning your transfer.
Check placement
Position your transfer
Place the transfer with the adhesive side against the garment and the carrier film on top. Align your design where you want it before closing the press.
7 seconds
Press with firm, even pressure
Close the heat press at 285–305°F for 7 seconds using high pressure. Keep the garment flat so the design receives even contact.
2–3 seconds
Pause before peeling
Open the press and wait 2–3 seconds before a hot peel. If you prefer a cold peel, leave the film in place until it is fully cool.
Hot or cold
Peel the carrier film
Choose either peel method below. Peel the carrier away in one smooth motion and check that the design stays on the garment.
Peel while the film is still warm
After the 2–3 second pause, peel away the warm film in one smooth motion. Then move on to the finishing press.
3–5 seconds
Finish with a second press
After removing the carrier film, cover the design with parchment paper or a Teflon sheet. Press again for 3–5 seconds to finish the application.
After pressing
